Recruitment

Regardless of venue size or attendance, efficiency and hospitality can mean the difference between loyal fans or frustrated one-time visitors. Therefore, our work begins long before the day's event, involving everyone from managers to on-site parking attendants. Training, traffic control procedures, and on-site logistics are organized and rehearsed well in advance. With this custom, comprehensive plan in place, Premier Parking can ensure a smooth and seamless event.

Unlike the traditional parking companies, each and every employee is trained to handle each specific special event. Each application is reviewed by our HR manager who does a personality test along with a criminal background check. All applicants must be eighteen years of age or older and have a High School Diploma, or equivalent, to be considered for employment.

After a positive background check, the applicant is given a thorough interview and then either hired or declined. Each employee is given an extensive orientation specific to each location in which they will be working. Covered in this orientation are job requirements and the policies and procedures of Premier Parking. Finally, the employee watches an IAAM customer service video which brings to light the essential customer service qualities we expect from our team.

Prior to each event we create an “event sheet” to dispense to all employees. This sheet covers specifics that are important to each employee’s job and will help them to answer questions guests may have. We include the following information on said sheets:

  • Area map for guests requiring direction to a specific location
  • Door / event times
  • Items allowed into the venue
  • Local numbers including tow companies and taxi services
  • Parking lot and venue polices on tailgating
  • Ticket prices
  • Venue map to direct guests to specific gates that provide them easiest access to their seats
  • Future games or events
  • Any other important information relative to the event/game for that day

Before each event our management staff will have a meeting to brief all employees on the particulars of the event. We go over the event and answer any questions the employees might have. After the meeting each employee is paired with a supervisor for their specific area.

Following the event, we have another meeting to go over the event as a group and discuss what we did right and what we could potentially do better for the next event.
